Summer Staff
Volunteer Opportunities
Our volunteer staff is the backbone of our ministry. Over the past 90+ years, volunteers have built and sustained Gitche Gumee Bible Camp. Positions include but are not limited to maintenance, grounds, food service, hospitality, housekeeping, laundry, and IT/AV.

Paid Opportunities
We are accepting applications from qualified candidates for the 2024 camping season. Our positions fall into two main categories: Counselors and Support Staff. Pay ranges from $150-400 per week based on position and experience.
Counselors
June 16 - July 6
(continue through August 17 if you opt to stay as a Service Worker)
At Gitche Gumee Bible Camp, we have high expectations for our Counselors. You will be the main source of Biblical friendship, encouragement, and accountability for your campers. Although we have solid Bible speakers that will pour truth into their lives, you will be modeling this truth on a daily basis. We do not expect perfect people, so please don't be hesitant to apply. Counselors will facilitate discipleship and activities during our Youth Camp weeks.
Support Staff
June 16 - August 17
Service Workers play a vital role in our day-to-day operations at Gitche Gumee Bible Camp. These positions will be determined by the skill and preference of the individual, the need of GGBC, and the availability of the applicant. These positions generally fit into these roles: grounds, maintenance, food service, and nursery. Some roles will overlap as needs require.

Cook/Food Service: June 9 - August 17 (Flexible Weeks)
Laundry Tech: June 16 - August 18
Certified Lifeguard: June 23 - July 7
Certified Nurse: June 19 - July 7
Work Week
May 5-11, and May 12-18
Each spring we offer 2 great weeks for our volunteers to come and be a part of the preparation for our camping season. Volunteers may wish to arrive Sunday night of May 5 or May 12. Housing and meals provided.
