Gitche Gumee Bible Camp is a summer youth camp located in the Northwoods of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our goal is to create an environment where children and teens can learn more about Jesus, build relationships with each other, and create lasting memories. We offer Day Camps and Overnight Camps for campers ages 6-16. Our camps are structured with a variety of activities and events, including Bible study, worship, crafts, team building, swimming, tournaments and much more!

Our goal is to provide age appropriate games and activities that engage team work and friendly competition.
From ping-pong to volleyball, our tournaments always draw a crowd. The competition is fun, and our winners are always awarded free ice cream from our very own Canteen!
Our counselors go through an extensive screening process, formal background check, and attend mandatory pre-camp training in order to best serve every camper.
Our supervisors have been trained formally in the Word of God and come with at least one year of Christian camping experience.
The Camp Director of Gitche Gumee Bible Camp has over 20 years of Christian camping leadership experience. With formal Bible training and a passion for youth, our leadership is primed to provide your camper a week to remember!
There are times throughout the week that the camp has a Snack Shack with various snacks and goodies, as well as a Book Store with toys, stickers, apparel, and more. Though this is not required, it is suggested to provide $20-$80 in spending money for the week for your camper to enjoy these options. To avoid lost or stolen cash, we have made an account available through the registration process. This keeps the funds secure, and available to them at the various locations. Remaining funds will be returned to the parent or guardian at the end of the week. **
Lost and Found:
Mark all belongings with camper's name. Lost and found items will be donated after two weeks if not requested. Claimed items will be mailed or be made available for pick-up.
*Gitche Gumee Bible Camp is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items while attending camp.
**Funds secured using the Camper Bank are protected from risk of loss and theft. Gitche Gumee Bible Camp is not responsible for lost or stolen funds if you choose not to take advantage of the Camper Bank.
